BBE’s industry-based experience and know-how cover a broad range of mining methods, diverse ores, and strategic minerals, as well as the spectrum of mechanization and automation, including the use of both diesel and battery-electric vehicles.
Our decades of experience in designing ventilation, cooling, and heating systems span a wide range of mining environments. These include hot, gassy coal mines in Australia; ultra-deep, hot, narrow-vein gold and platinum mines in South Africa; deep gold, silver, and nickel mines in Canada; and vertical orebody diamond and copper mines globally.
Additionally, we have worked on manganese, uranium, iron-ore, potash and coal mines worldwide across various orebodies and mining methods.
Primary and secondary ventilation systems have been developed and optimized for all types of mining methods, including block caving, sub-level caving, incline caving, bord-and-pillar, cut-and-fill, drift-and-fill, long-hole open stoping, narrow reef tabular stoping, hybrid conventional-mechanized, and others. BBE’s experience further includes ventilation systems in support of civil engineering tunnels, boring operations, pumped –storage, and Nuclear Waste Isolation facilities.
