Enhance ventilation and safety in mining environments

BBE is one of the few mining consulting firms offering specialized Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis to enhance ventilation and safety in mining environments. Our CFD capabilities enable optimization of airflow dynamics in ducts, drifts, airways, fans, and connections to downcast/upcast shafts and fan drifts. This approach has proven invaluable in defining design limits for shaft conveyances and steelwork, selecting buntons and dividers, and optimizing headgear flow. Additionally, CFD modelling addresses critical challenges such as water droplet behaviour in exhaust shafts, surface smoke and contaminant dispersion, and ventilation clearance performance, among others—helping ensure efficient, safe, and effective ventilation systems.
